The Universe Alive

All of us, our very atoms, were once part of and created by ancient stars. Life is nothing, but the universe in a different form. Yet we hardly reflect on or experience this fact. Like the ocean to a fish, the universe is ubiquitous, but invisible to us in our daily lives. This series attempts to make the invisible visible. By combining photographs of the Milky Way with action and environmental portraits, these composites show the commonplace activities of individuals as the actions of stars and interstellar gases. They are a visual, introspective exploration of perhaps the greatest truth, that we are the universe come alive.
